How you will make an impact?

The Optimization Manager will play a crucial role in supporting business needs by overseeing the management of API client and supplier integrations. This includes optimizing live accounts and acting as the primary point of contact for technical support, serving as a liaison between the development team and the business to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

In addition, the manager will analyze and optimize existing key API customer integrations, conducting a comprehensive review to enhance efficiency and performance. As a critical position within the organization, the Optimization Manager will collaborate closely with the SVP Strategy & Technology, assisting in managing integration pipelines for all technical solutions, such as API customers, Suppliers, Whitelabel, and system maintenance. The manager will also be responsible for monitoring and tracking the progress of these integration pipelines.

The successful candidate for this role will possess technical expertise in API integration and demonstrate a proven track record in managing multiple key customers and suppliers. The role extends to improving partner performance and fostering strong customer relationships through effective technical support and relationship management.

The Optimization Manager will be central to the seamless functioning of API integrations and technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and contributing to the overall success of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and manage relationships: Act as the first line of technical support for customers, liaise between the development team and business, and diagnose issues with supplier and customer integrations.
  • Respond to support questions from both internal and external parties and collaborate with the development team to resolve complex issues.
  • Whitelabel Customer Integration: Oversee the setup and integration of Whitelabel customers, as well as support and maintain current integrations.
  • Analyze and define requirements, translating them into functional requirements for the development team. 
  • Own the implementation until the customer has gone live and provide ongoing support, testing, and troubleshooting of the solution.
  • Improve Partner Performance: Optimize the portfolio of key accounts through focused analysis and experimentation to help UHI grow.
  • Review partner technical performance, including error rate, mapping, and traffic. Understand the opportunities and propose relevant solutions.


The skills we would love to see in your suitcase!

  • A proven track record of Technical Account Management or other relevant experience in managing multiple key customers & suppliers.  
  • Experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • 4+ years of experience in the Travel Industry is a must.
  • Technical background and knowledge of API, XML, SQL, and PowerBI are a plus.  
  • Proficiency in the English language is a must, and Arabic a plus. 
  • Experience in customer onboarding and managing pipelines is desirable.  
  • Strong technical skills to provide first-line technical support to customers and liaise with development teams.  
  • Experience in conducting functional and technical testing of our applications. 
  • Adaptability: The ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and requirements is important for this role as the integration landscape and business needs are constantly evolving. 
  • Problem-solving: The candidate should be able to identify and solve problems as they arise, as this role involves managing complex API integrations and supporting live customer accounts. 
  • Results-driven: The candidate should be motivated by achieving results and focused on achieving goals that drive the growth of the business.  
  • Attention to detail: The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to spot discrepancies or errors in data to ensure that integrations are accurate and optimized. 
  • Team player: The candidate should be a team player and able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including development, sales, and customer success, to drive sustainable growth and build strong customer relationships.
