What will you do on your journey with WebBeds?

WebBeds is the world’s fastest growing provider of accommodation distribution services to the travel industry. Our products incorporate distribution APIs, payment integrations, ERP integration, Data Lakes, User Interfaces, and others. Our search API reach peaks of more than 50.000 requests per second, each one consisting of tens or hundreds of hotels, with continued expansion.

In this role you will:

The Commercial Distribution Manager plays a key role in the account management of key Channel Manager partners headquartered in Europe. The role requires technical and account management expertise to support the direction and growth efforts of WebBeds’ Connectivity partnerships by optimizing the commercial relationships between WebBeds and its largest Connectivity partners in Europe.

This position will be working collaboratively with external and internal customers in an agile manner to maximize opportunities, set up processes and increase growth.

This role will be part of the Chains Team Europe, supporting all European Regional Contracting Teams for both chains as independent properties and working in close collaboration with the Supplier Connectivity IT Team.

Key elements to this role include, but not limited to:

  • Commercial account management of WebBeds’ largest Channel Manager Partners headquartered in Europe.
  • Identify additional Channel Manager Partnerships to drive profitable growth and additional supply of accommodation partners. 
  • Build Channel Manager Partner pipeline based on potential revenue, to prioritize new connections for future growth. 
  • Extract and explore data to identify opportunities; analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities to accelerate the growth of WebBeds’ hotel performance, through regular QBRs with key strategic external stakeholders.
  • Drive Commercial performance of the Channel Manager connections including new builds, rebuilds, upgrades, day-to-day success rates, access to inventory, rates, rate plans, content, and availability.
  • Support Contracting Team Europe and work in partnership with Supplier Connectivity IT Team to handle day to day issues, audits, and projects, to optimize overall the connectivity. 
  • Implement monthly reporting and support in creation of a strategic commercial roadmap. 
  • Set up and automate business processes to work more effectively, efficiently, and to promote scalability. 
  • Attend tradeshows and network opportunities within region to engage with Partners when relevant.
  • Communicate both internally and externally in a professional manner in keeping with corporate guidelines.

  • Outstanding project management, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
  • Educated to degree level of equivalent or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Open to frequent travel.
  • Strong negotiation skills, strategic view, commercial acumen, pro-active, dynamic, passionate, and a team player.
  • Highly accurate with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Fluent English written and verbal communication skills 
  • Highly developed analytical skills, and proficient use of Microsoft office, especially Excel applications
  • Proactive, with ability to offer solutions to issues encountered. 
  • Personable with lots of enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of the team.
  • Min 2 years in a Channel Manager Connectivity related role at an OTA, Channel Manager, wholesaler, hotel or chain.
  • Thorough understanding of current Connectivity landscape (different types of integrations, connections, etc.)
  • Additional European language a plus
