How will you make an impact?
We are on the hunt for a Market Manager to help build, grow and maintain a hotel portfolio in the Philippines.
A key member of the WebBeds team, building and harnessing our critical supplier relationships with our Hoteliers.
As our supplier relationship manager, you will have responsibility to acquire and renew contracts with hotels offering great availability and price to distribute via our technology platform. Manage the hotel’s contract performance through working closely with the Sales and Operations teams.
Key elements to this role include, but not limited to:
- Negotiating and signing competitive or exclusive contracts that secure the best possible rates, conditions and inventory/allocation. Maximise performance and identify promotional opportunities
- Develop and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure maximum benefit of all distribution channels
- Manage all aspects of contract administration, performance and review to drive performance
- Creation of monthly reports to reflect market trends, and products
- Representation of WebBeds during regular business trips and trade fair attendance
- Convert 3rd parties into direct business to gain more market on the specific territories.
- Introduce WebBeds to new suppliers.
- Promote the use of WebBeds extranet system among suppliers to encourage them to update directly any changes.
- Ensure Direct Connectivity rates are open and updated year-round.
- Build market intelligence from Sales feedback and 3rd parties system to take action on market demands.
- Support the Sales team for any request related to special rates, group trips, or special requests.
- Liaise with the Data Entry team for any queries related to contracts or system issues.
- Support the Operations team for any overbooking, for booking related issues or other queries.
- Analyse market data, recommend and implement action plan to increase market share in identified territories.
- Support the projects assigned by market/region/company with diversified commercial mentality.
- Understand Chains and Channel Manager connectivity and functionalities would be a plus.

Qualifications & Knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of B2B, online travel/ecommerce/hotels as well as understanding of hotel revenue management
- Educated to degree level of equivalent or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience, Skills, and Behavioural Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field of studies. Preference will be given for studies in the fields of Business Administration or Hospitality and Tourism.
- Candidate must be independent and mature and have a positive working attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
- 5 years of experience in a similar position will be required.
- Candidate must have an aggressive go-getting attitude and have a passion for securing the best deal with suppliers.
- The candidate should have a sunny personality and enjoy working with people. The candidate needs to enjoy interaction with our suppliers as well as be able to network within the organisation to leverage on our global network to strengthen our market proposition in the Philippines.
- Must also possess a strong analytical mindset and the ability to review supplier performance to optimize performance.
- Local language knowledge plus good written and spoken English and presentation skills
- Availability to dedicate at least 20% of your time to business travel
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience, Skills, and Behavioural Requirements
- 5 years of contracting experience in e-commerce or hotel industry a plus (OTAs, Bedbanks, Tour Operators)
- Understanding of current contracting landscape (dynamic and static models)
- Desirable understanding of Yield / Revenue theories and techniques
- Strong negotiating and analytical skills
- Target driven and motivated
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications (incl excel)
- Self-starter and “can-do” approach
- Business trips required to assigned destination areas
